Gas prices are still high and worse in Cook County

Editor-in-Chief of The Balance, Kristin Myers, joined Ilyce Glink, filling in for Jon Hansen, to discuss the price of gas which still hasn't gone down yet. She gave the unfortunate news that Cook County has one of the worst prices at $5.80 a gallon with the city of Chicago being $5.72 a gallon. Later she addressed the fact that the May inflation numbers could provide an answer to the increased gas prices.

Pet expert and host of Steve Dale's Pet World and Steve Dale's Other World joins John Landecker on the show to give us the latest news on rescue rats. These little rodents have been trained to go into the rubble of earthquake areas and tornado sites to find survivors that are stuck under the fallen debris. The convenience and struggle behind 'buy now, pay later' companies

AnnaMaria Andriotis, reporter for the Wall Street Journal, joined Ilyce Glink, filling in for Jon Hansen, to discuss what it means to "buy now, pay later." She elaborated that there were different ways for this concept to be applied. For instance, one could take home a product and sign up for a payment plan and pay it off gradually all the while still owning it. Later, AnnaMaria addressed the problems that a slowing economy have on "buy now, pay later" companies as they begin to report to credit reporting bureaus.
