Hope you’re hanging in and taking care. It’s been a heck of a week/month/year/decade, so I thought I’d just list a bunch of stuff coming out soon that I’m excited about. It doesn’t solve everything, but it’s always nice to have some fun stuff to look forward to.  Books: Morgan Talty’s short story collection Night of the Living Rez, Katherine Chen’s Joan of Arc novel Joan, and Francesca Stanfill’s Eleanor of Aquitaine tome The Falcon’s Eyes are all out now. Julia Armfield’s spooky and fascinating Our Wives Under the Sea is out this coming Tuesday. So is A Prayer for the Crown-Shy, Becky Chambers’ second installment in the Monk and Robot series. If you need an existential hug, these little novellas pack a lot of tenderness. TV/Movies: The exquisitely delightful What We Do in the Shadows is back for Season 4 this Tuesday. Jordan Peele’s newest thriller Nope comes to theaters on July 22.  Paper Girls, the Amazon Prime adaptation of Brian K. Vaughn time travel girl squad comic, drops July 29. And! If you aren’t watching For All Mankind, you are SERIOUSLY MISSING OUT.  Music: Lizzo’s new album Special is out next Friday!!!!!!!!!!! So is Beabadoobie’s Beatnik, which will also be fabulous. (Lots of these things were mentioned in recent episodes of Nerdette, which you might want to check out!
